The gold leaf was applied to acrylic paint, while the rest of the painting is painted in oil. The painting was then varnished in a satin finish varnish to protect both the gold leaf from tarnishing and the overall painting.
This painting is reinforced with hardware and is ready for hanging! The edges of the canvas are painted a light lime green, so no frame is necessary!
